Haiku of Lady Windermere

*Another poem from the AP Lit/Comp project.  It is a combination of several haiku to tell the story of Lady Windermere, the protagonist in Oscar Wilde’s “Lady Windermere’s Fan”.

Haiku of Lady Windermere

A woman’s distrust,
Threatens her marriage.
Love creates chaos.

Daughter abandoned,
Her mother returns to her.
Hides identity.

Husband is clueless,
Trusts and loves his wife so much.
He never doubts her.

She almost leaves him.
The “bad mother” prevents her,
From wrecking her life.

She’s a good woman,
Term without definition,
Lady Windermere.
