Manic Nerves

*This one’s 2 years old. I think I planned on finishing it and never got around to it, or decided it was better with the abrupt ending. I wrote it in a class that I wrote a good deal of poems in. (I aced the class.) It was a classmate. It didn’t work out.*

These butterflies are consuming my soul.

When I see you my heart loses control.

When I see those eyes I can’t turn away.

I would give anything to make you stay.

All my worries wash away in your gaze.

I’m falling for you in so many ways.

The sound of your voice soothes my manic nerves.

I hope to give you what angels deserve.

I want to make you feel the way I do.
