Here comes the rain.
Reminding me of what will never be.
As the liquid dissolves you fade like a memory.
A trace of what I can only see.
Not forbidden, but unobtainable.
Untenable to capture.
Impossible to keep.
Like falling raindrops on a still warm day,
You vanish like the drops of water in the heat.
And with the steam my hopes dissipate.
The foolish hopes I had of you and me.
